2:01 currently on the Second of December, 3 days after the A's

The A levels have ended!
Review:
Decent performance on the overall, one that generates a good amount of satisfaction. Performance was satisfactory for Mathematics, below expectations for GP and Physics, above expectations for Chemistry, and par for the course of Geography. Should be a safe ticket into university, SATs shall be attempted soon!

First paper was General Paper, didn't perform that well for the essay, but the comprehension was very nicely done - I grinned till my teeth fell out when I saw "highline", lucky I went for the URA workshop just two weeks before that test!

Second paper was maths paper 1 (pure mathematics), pretty much a killer. Should do decent for it, reckon a C at worst. Redeemed by the second paper, placing the current projection at a B or a C

Physics paper 2 was up next, careless mistakes here and there, not the best performance! But should be worthy of a B performance. Paper 3 maybe a C, and Paper 1 an A, bringing the average to a B.

Chemistry was surprisingly easy, with very little organic chemistry involved, so an A is very possible!

The end of the last paper was met with quite a subdued rush of emotion actually, felt overcome with more of a sense of exhaustion than anything else. As both H1 and H2 papers were held at the same venue, spent my first 15 minutes of freedom watching the H2 chaps being frantic and all, with some shading blanks up to the last 2 minutes. Left the school subsequently, and up to Sihuis house for pool and table tennis. Pool was terrible, for the room was stinky with the smell of powder, and 3 out of 6 of the pockets were missing! Gave up after 1 game and we went down to watch tabletennis (with Sihui+Sici owning at it). First day ended off with dinner at Ambush.

Second day of freedom (yesterday!) was met with waking up and going to King Albert Park for the day. Spent most of the day doodling on the notebook and working out the issues for the special project, and it is safe to say that a very many have been solved! Suitable, cheaper subsititute components may have been found :D (refer log). Alternately worked and dozed and lazed most of the day off there. Left up for botanic gardens eventually, but made a stop over at bukit timah railway station. station is currently in a pitiful state, with little track left. Station is guarded by a lone guard stationed in the station itself (stationmaster's office!) who appears quite bored herself. Eventually made it up to Botanic, where it started raining, disrupting the intention. (the bridge at botanic mrt is very nice). Walked over to take a look and the french embassy (very nice, modern and europeanish design! almost condoish in style) And cluny court too. Cluny court's an old fashioned place that reminds me of youth, with family-run toy shops and a very nice corralled structure (and even a 25 year old family dvd rental shop!) Left Cluny Court to search for a bus up to the library, but the rain got worse. Saw a horrible red/orange building along the road, and it was terrible! Couldn't find the bus, so diverted eventually back down and onto coronation (still in the rain). Walked over to Coronation, dried off abit and popped over to look at the small shops near Sogurt. Nothing much so went back over to coronation to wait for the bus. Saw the friendliest dog in the world (big and brown too) leashed to a pole in the rain. Brought him over to the shelter outside Coronation and watched him shake it off, mighty friendly the dog! With all the licking and stuff. Left the poor dog eventually, and boarded 154 up to Clem. Clem library's new with a good collection! Eventually made it home near evening.

Third day of freedom, thursday, was spent uh..... in school. Meiyu had this Chinese cultural camp thing, so popped over to help. The kids were mighty fun, though the mandarin-based program did leave the malay/indian pair of kids out though. They brought board games to play in the meantime. Watched them start off with monopoly deal, and eventually progress to just bringing out a whole monopoly board and playing outside! Went to JP to pick up the tripod from eva. Lent the pair the camera near the end of the camp, they seemed to thoroughly enjoy themselves with the photos and video - wonderful what joy and wonder technology can bring, and their different perspective too. Would it be possible for a still/video camera to be built and sold for under $10 so our kids can have fun with media?

Rambly post, but there's still more. Special project is going on quite a nice pace on paper, good number of problems have been solved - now to source for raw materials!

On a seperate note, moving up to Hongkong this Saturday, and tomorrow/today will be a very busy day. Visiting Mr Ho, going to Sungei Road, and then meeting Mr Ong for dinner. Should be a good day, tomorrow!
