Over-hydration, and a veritable phobia of emails, excel spreadsheets, and things online. These culminate in a general fear of losing connection with meat space, or as others would term it, the real world.

Finally, Standard Chartered Marathon is over.

You hear of people running a marathon, people walking a marathon.

Once in a while, somebody cycles (part of) a marathon.

Transport Control : "Uh calling VCC, I have a media here who says he's cleared with Padang to cover marathon on bicycle, can somebody confirm that, over?"

bah.

Stanchart was interesting overall. gathered early at pit building with the volunteers group as media briefing was at 4 and i had no transport there anw. ehm.

cycled up to mandarin eventually, realised it was the wrong one, and cycled up to the orchard mandarin. briefed, tried to cycle ahead of the runners, but failed just after pit building, sallied back and forth between ekiden 2 and pit building, up the helix next, thru the IR, into marina south, down to the barrage, up round the golf course and then back again down to padang for bike return.

fun but exhausting experience overall, especially when you end up missing your mrt stop twice on the way home
