It is strange as usual, (if strange becomes usual, then strange isnt that strange anymore right?)

School starts tommorow again. Monday. (why must it? why not tuesday?)

*I look at the keyboard, randomly glancing at the screen once in a while.*

Saturday was a funny flight.

Birds singing in the sycamore trees.

at present, (as extracted from a random conversation) there are only three roundabouts still existing in Singapore, Newton Circus, Mountbatten (i think. not very clearly remembered) ,

anyways, moving on. argh.

argh.

now moving on.
today isnt pretty much the best day.
mr ong teaches awesome maths btw.
i forgot the first lesson we had. oh physics.
yeap.
down to syfc.
we were out onto the aircrafts on the line already. life jackets on and external checks done. suddenly mr leng comes out and "eh kendrick lockout come back!".... leading to amused faces along the flight line. general expression of confusions lar. so locked up the ac and proceeded back to ops room. was IMR i think. imr conted for quite a while. until it finally upgraded cat 1. and wave 3 was chopped. damn.

next went to sim and stone lar. in the end just went back with ig lar. then jalaned amk hub. (been ages) . "bread of life" or is it "life of bread?" cant remember. peach ice jelly and peeked at the cinema. general reluctance to go home on public transport due to epic crowds. (oya. "epik" is an alternate more epic spelling) but still went on lar.

public transport back home from syfc is quite amusing. (this is where airmanship and observational skills comes into play). wait at amk foodcourt. (rather empty to start with). when crowd starts coming in, go mrt station and wait. board train. if desperate for a seat and happening to be friendless, look around. usually people start snapping their bags about a stop and a half before. clear area of any old folk or special needs. continue advance to position. stop about 8 feet away and act nondescript. when person finally moves, advance, and ask person nearby if they want to sit (oya. target groups of friends. female friends with one member already seated somewhere else tend to glance at the seat and obviously decline without you having to ask). proceed onto seat, gyrating body ever so slightly; commence roll to the left, continue approach to seat, when over seat, (usually orange in color) level off and proceed to slowly lower self onto seat (take care to announce altitude over seat every 6 inches or so) . upon touch down, loosen muscles and nua. at this point, 3 courses of action may be undertaken
  1. break out mp3 (only applicable in the cases of mood)
  2. prop bag on lap and commence shutdown procedure, utilising bag as support.
  3. ehm look around and be generally happy.
  4. start amusin self by watching jumping kids around.
  5. if (4) is not applicable, adults may be observed instead. your call.

but anyways. this is an epicly long post. i actually dislike typing blog posts. maybe i should consider writing them instead.

just saying.

procedure, procedure, procedure.

if something is supposed to be, then it shall be. eventually?

Friday, January 15, 2010 @ mlia learning symposium
in a week there are seven days . but how many nights?

its kinda cool really when you close your eyes, stretch your palm out towards a group of seated pschool kids and ask them "so, what is my name?" in a rising fashion, and have them reply enthusiastically with your full name''

my learning symposium is average

MLSIA

as of the current moment, my mood may be symbolized and described fairly accurately with the acronym, PBT, standing for plain bloody tired, or DBT, Damn Bloody Tired. depends on your level of wen to decide which. they mean pretty much the same thing.

today was of a relatively epic nature.
slept at 3am the previous, woke at 6... chionged down to sembawang for kfc brek at 9, but kfc was closed; ended up at macs 2.50 . tea gave off strange platicky smell after second refill.

chionged down to seletar after that for flight. brain still running below speed.

brain ran below speed till preflight brief.. where it picked up to about 85% .

functions crashed down again during flight. resulting in dismal results due to a reduction in processing speed and power. actions were slowed down very much, much to dismay of instructor.

after flight brief was a whipping, followed by an hour of typing stuff on the lappy. (it was lugged across singapore in an uncomfortable bag for a reason). after countless hours, took shuttle bus out, transferred onto 103, hopped down to jalan kayu for some briyani. mutton briyani, curry, not plained. (i actually feel kind of reluctant to blog or type here)

briyani was accompanied with a dinosaur, resulting in significant levels of broking.

proceeded on down back up 103, slept all the way to sgoon. took train down to china town. walked thru, spotted around 20-30 angmohs on the way. (not including infants and small children) .proceed on down past smith street up sago street. where it was learnt that sago street used to be a death street (creepy). crossed road near jinrickshaw station, down to URA, looking for a nice seat and powerplug. a back less couch was found, and access to visitor's centre upstairs was denied by staff. a random security guard stared hard at me. so did the counter staff when i walked past. cisco guard too.

in desperation, headed down onto Ministry of National Development (dont ask me what they do, classifed). crossed down to red dot traffic/museum. was pleased to find a Pacific coffee house, known for their rather work friendly attitude, and air con facilities. deliberated between latte but bought a espresso mocha ice blend in the end.

moved off subsequently for setup of "chope point" at dinnerspot.

dinner with a view, and then back home.

my life as of late has revolved around Seletar airport, DSO, and laptop. it is (makes obscene hand signal) bloody heavy to lug the laptop around. but on the bright side, it has 33 minutes of power on a full charge! whoo! :D

tomorrow will be yet one more depressing day, one day closer to school start. which would mean it.

i do not want school to start.

practically everything hinges on the next flight to determine promotion to phase 2. i need someone to practice my stuff with, like radio calls and checks and stuff.

sadly it is often impossible to find.

sigh.
